REDUCED BY 33%! This Villa on the Pisan hills and at the end of a cypress avenue was built by the Livornese family Silvestri during the second half of the 18th century.
In 1806 the villa was restored by its owner at that time: Domenico Castelli,a rich bourgeois from Livorno, who owned immense properties on the Pisane hills where he considerably increased the silk production.
The villa has a quadrangular plan with two appendices at the facade sides that give it a T shape. The main facade, that appears at the end of cypress avenue, develops on two levels plus the attic and shows an entrance marked by a Serena stone niche. There are five openings both on the ground and on the first floor, while at the top floor the windows are smaller and stone-framed.The facade is framed by two large, mostly plastered, lesenes having the Serena stone pedestal exposed.Above, a protruding wooden cornice crowns the building. In the central area of the brick cladding and tiles roof, there is a viewpoint tower with arched openings from which in the sunny days you can enjoy a view ranging from the Pisan Hills to Livorno harbour and tower. At the ground floor, a central hall leading to the lateral compartments is decorated with the same motifs of the first floor. In particular, the ground floor hall with wooden attic leads to four lateral frescoed and keel vaulted rooms. The central hall is connected by means of a round arch with a large wood covered room hosting a dinette and a dining room close to the living room. The rooms connected with the living room are the private chapel in perfect conditions , the typical kitchen with various ovens and pantries, some closets and two comfortable bathrooms.Once arrived on the first floor, we find a breathtaking keel vaulted central hall, mostly decorated with works dedicated to master Luigi Ademollo's life. The brightness of the first floor is extraordinary at every hour and in any season, thanks to the large main deck terrace that overlooks the access road and to the large north facing and south facing terraces all in close proximity of studios, bedrooms and three bathrooms, of which the biggest is ensuite the master bedroom. On the second floor we find 5 bedrooms, each one with en suite bathroom.Complexively, this villa provides 560sq m with an average height of 4,60m at the ground floor, 440sq m with an average height of 4.00m on the first floor (with the vault at at 6.90 m), 320sq m with an average height of 3.00m on the second floor while the 440sq m attic on the third floor and the 40sq m viewpoint tower are only walkable. The villa has been finely restored by the current owners.Energy class G, 348.90 kW7mq per year
