A couple of miles outside historic Lucca, lies this restored 21-bedroom stately home/estate with frescoed walls that is surrounded by 20,000sq m (2 hectares/5 acres) of land. It was once used as a small luxury hotel.
There are four buildings in total - a main stately home, two guesthouses and a chapel - that in total have 1,800sq m of floor space.
The main house measures 1,200 over three floors:
Ground floor: Large reception room with frescoes; large lounge, grand, fitted kitchen, which to the rear has rooms for offices and staff.
First floor: Lounge; seven double-sized bedrooms – also with frescoes – that all have en-suite bathrooms.
Second floor: This needs completion to turn it into 9 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. There is also space already provided on this floor to install an elevator/lift.
Behind the villa there is the first guesthouse, which measures 280sq m over three floors. This is completely renovated and furnished with 12 double-sized bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom. The kitchen needs to be completed. Should you wish, this guesthouse could be easily converted into apartments.
The second guesthouse, completely renovated, measures 120sq m over two floors. The ground floor has lounge and kitchen whereas upstairs are two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The third building is a 100sq m private chapel. It is in good condition, with frescoes and vaulted ceilings, but there is some need of maintenance work.
