  • This complex dates back to 1561, but during the following centuries, some amendments and modifications were made to the original plant : the entrance hall, the lobby and the lunettes-vaulted lounge on the first floor look like seventeenth-century,the noble floor decorations are eighteenth-nineteenth century, while the facades have been refurbished in the last century.

The central body of the main facade is framed by ashlared angle irons and a high cornice.
The three levels prospectus has, at the ground floor, four square openings with Serena stone frames, while the openings on the noble floor have been modified during the nineteenth-century restorations with the overlapping of semicircular lunettes in the central body and triangular tympana in the lateral bodies.
The complex symmetry  is emphasized by the central position of the entrance door, unusually huge.

The south facing facade is characterized by the central U-shaped Serena stone staircase with iron railing, leading to the hall.

From the ground floor portal, which connects the two gardens, we get the double volumes volterran ceilings entrance hall, with its Serena stone double stairs. In this hall there are two internal windows with Serena stone balconies that allow the view of the entrance from the lateral lounges.

The noble floor develops around the large central passage, decorated in the nineteenth century with geometric and arabesque panels and covered with coffered ceiling. To the west, with access to the roof terrace, there are two Volterran rooms, one completely frescoed with sea landscapes, the other decorated with stuccos and frames.

The villa is annex to an oratory, dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, that, according to the eminent scholar Giovanni Mariti, is supposed to have been built by Michelangelo Buonarroti in the end of the sixteenth century. What is sure is that the oratory, with its rectangular drawing and its semicircular apse already existed in 1619.

The last restoration action involved the arrangement of the surrounding park full of tall stem species. Today the villa is reachable through a tree-lined avenue, that in 1940 replaced the scenographic original access with a brick double staircase and the carriages entrance still located at the back.

The manor house is articulated into three different buildings, of which the central one is mainly intended for residential use, for an overall surface of 2,500sq m, while the two lateral buildings have an overal surface of 1,000sq m.

In addition to the villa and the 4.15ha lands there is another building included: for residential or commercial use, for an overall surface of 860sq m, in bad state of disrepair.
